Question for those still watching

Now that the producers are saying they have plans for 10 more years, I've decided this will be my last season. I only stuck it out last season because I wanted to see how it would end. But now that they want to go the never ending soap opera route, I know I have to bail. It's just not holding my interest enough anymore. My question for those still watching is how much longer do you plan to watch? Are there are any hardcore fans who see themselves sticking it out for another decade?

I have said from Day 1 - when Rick goes, whither, I will go. I just cannot go on without him. He IS the show. Andy is amazing in this role, and I will greatly miss him. It was a fun ride, but it's done for me.

The Negan story is one where it was helpful for me to have read it in the comics first, because I got all my WTFs out of the way before it hit the screen. There's always enough original material on the show to mix it up a bit, but most of the big moments from the comics end up on the show in some way.

With Carl gone and the new showrunner, they are going even more in their own direction. But based on some of the new cast members coming on this season, something is about to happen 12x more messed up than when Negan was introduced.

I'll watch it until they go back to Atlanta. As soon as they hit the city limits I'm switching it off.

I have always said that when Andy Lincoln goes, so will I. I cannot watch this show without Rick Grimes, just can't.

I will also stick around until the end. As others have said it's not the first thing I watch on my DVR anymore but I still never miss an episode. I don't watch ANYTHING live, not even football. Of course it's not as exciting because we are seeing the same thing pretty much over and over. I still enjoy it though but I don't see how they ever make 20 seasons.

I do like the idea of Rick getting bit and being taken by the people in the helicopter.

I was done after last season until I read glowing reviews for this one.

But after two episodes, I just don't see it. I'm really done now.

And I've never bailed on a show that I watched from the start -- even when it went off the rails.
