How much foreign dialogue in this?

I just downloaded it and there are no subtitles. IMDb lists it as having 2 non-English languages. Do I need the subtitles or is it only one or two sentences here and there?

reply

You can call me if you need a translation. ☎️ ☺

What's German for "okay"?

reply

That depends if it's a friendly "okay" or an unfriendly "okay". ☺

Friendly --> "Gerne." ♥
Unfriendly --> "LMA!" ☻

reply

Then gerne.

reply

Ok, I'll sent you my phone #.
Mobile or landline?
We call landline "Festnetz" (= fixed net).
That's VERY meaningful. 🕷️🕸️

How the fuck are bluray rips of this available when it isn't out on digital/home media until the 21st November?

Some scoundrel must have stole one from a batch awaiting shipment.

reply

I was surprised too, but I saw this available on 3 different sites.

reply

If its really a clean rip, it comes from the production line. The production must have started by now already, someone just took one copy and gave it to a release group. They are usually well connected.
But could be also a airline rip, they are nowadays also in good quality and technically not well protected usually.

reply

To sell blueray and DVDs before streaming?

There’s a brief scene where a lecture is being given all in Dutch, but that is more background context not script dialogue.

reply

Probably you mean German (Deutsch).
Not Netherlandish "Dutch".

reply

No, it was actually supposed to be Dutch, but is not intelligible to anyone on this earth.

reply

☺...Dutch isn't far from Plattdeutsch (lower German).
If you're speaking slowly I can understand you.

reply

Nope, it was supposed to be Dutch but they botched it.

reply

Oh ok, thanks for the article!
Well, Oppenheimer wrote his dissertation in German and his father was German.
And he was just a year in Leiden (NL).
However, he was also talented in learning languages.

reply

Thanks. I know IMDb adds languages even if it's just one word, so I was hoping it was one of those cases. I didn't want to be 2hrs in to the film and they start speaking German.

Downloaded from where?

reply

You want a link? If so, I'd had to send it in a DM because you're not allowed to post piracy links on the boards.

reply

Just curious about the site used. Someone actually sent me a link already!

reply

I won't actually leave the link but there's one called bflix.

reply

I have english subs on my BR.

reply

Have you watched it yet?

reply

In a few minutes.

reply

Watch it now!

reply

No really, I'm watching in about 2 minutes. See you in 3 hours.
