I think I only really like dramas and documentaries, all other films are exceptions.
Yes, I think you’re right. It must’ve been a previous headmaster, but he also seemed a bit beholden to the current one. At least at the start of the movie.
I liked the film, and it’s quirkyness. I guess the title refers to the original group, and doesn’t want to spoil the helicopter scene. That was a classic rich kids scene. Go to any airport near an ivy league college on opening or closing days, and you’ll see a fleet of private jets. Parents picking up their nepo babies.

Why that big guy at the nightclub just sit in his booth while assasins were coming for him? He didn’teven try to save himself or take cover under the table? What a ridiculous scene.

He didn’t marry his ex GF mom. The guy has a dry British sense of humor and was just commenting on moving back in her house as a lodger.
Yes, the story is autobiographical with some changes made to conceal identities.
I am not sure what to make of his decision to go back to his abuser, but he self-admitted that he makes bad choices. Maybe he thought that with his stronger mental state, he could finally get the career boost he wanted from that guy without falling victim to his drug/grooming scheme.
The whole psychological interplay of the two characters is that they both had vulnerabilities and weaknesses that played into their weird attachment to each other. She was a mentally ill woman who stalked for attention and control. He was a struggling comic who craved attention, and also a closeted bisexual who could not deal with problems that would “out” him in any way.
All wardrobe is poorly fit. I guess they had no budget for that.
