Yes, she only wanted the house and that lifestyle it afforded so she could keep up her hippy *beep* That's why she was with the old man, then slept with his son, and then tried to get Luke Wilson's character back when she realized he was getting the house and land.

"why did angela slept with Ben?" She felt like it.

She was a tramp, plain and simple, working her way down the food chain as it suited her needs. And for anyone saying she gave him 'welcome to the real world sex' or 'comfort sex', sorry, that also makes her a tramp, especially when she was leading Owen Wilson's character on.



He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.

I think it was a comfort thing, for both of them. They'd both loved Ben's father and missed him terribly. Being with each other eased that pain. A way to be closer to the dead man by proxy.

"Having a little balance is not so bad." "So, what, I get a parakeet?"

All this talk about comfort sex... I don't buy it

Do you remember the scene right after that when they chat in the morning?

And Ben says "This is gonna be great! I'm giving the farm to Steve! You didn't want, right?"

Then Ben walks out

And there's a moment where Angela is by herself, looks around... and she looks *really* disappointed

She wanted the farm

Up to that point I thought she was just a free spirit

But in that moment...

She slept with Ben to get the farm

And the funny thing is that she doesn't get it from Ben...

.. but she gets it from Steve in the end :)

This movie can be so heartwarming and so freaking cynical at the same time
