The ending…(spoilers)….

The movie was solid….(and Bautista was GREAT).

But the ending on this one really NEEDED a twist. Just something to blow your mind. The lead-up to the third act was all good. The girl who played Wen was amazing. But the ending was a bit anti-climactic, ironically.

Still, a good effort.

I thought it worked better without a twist.

I agree. Do u know what End would have been cool?

After one of the gays killed himself and the other one was left alone with the child, they found out that the whole apokalypse thing was justs invented.

reply

That would have been too easy I think.

I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a twist at the end. Maybe because that's what we're used to see in a Shyamalan movie. Other than that I really enjoyed it. One of his better movies.

reply

I expected that from him, too. Sorta disappointing, but it wasn't that bad.

reply

at one point I thought the girl was going to choose.....but then the ending we got was a little bit of a let down.

reply

I agree. The ending wasn't necessarily bad, but it was pretty lame.

The trick is: With Shyamalan, you keep expecting a twist. So, you wonder if you should even invest yourself in what's going on, since you expect it to not be real or whatever. Then, there's no twist. So, you go, "Oh, that's it?"

reply

The twist was that there was no twist in Shyamalan's movie!

reply

100% agree with you.

reply

I was actually expecting it to be all bullshit in the end as the twist.
But I don't think that would have worked in any way
