John Woo directing

It's John Woo's first Hollywood film since 2003. Apparently it will have no dialogue at all. Woo doesn't have that good track record with Hollywood movies, but It does sound interesting and I'm a huge fan of Joel Kinnaman.

It's coming out this year and was just acquired by Lionsgate

reply

Nice, in theaters this december.

I'm really excited to see it, in spite of how little respect I have for Joel Kinnaman as an actor. The fact that it'll have no dialogue is probably a good thing, as Woo has shown to not be particularly effective at directing actors when not shooting in his native tongue. Hope this will be the great comeback the master deserves.

"in spite of how little respect I have for Joel Kinnaman as an actor"

Why? He's not the most versatile actor out there but I think he's quite charismatic. He has the look of an old school action star. I became a fan of his after I watched The Killing.

Also directed by some foreign Asian.

Tommy Wirkola is Norwegian not Asian, genius.

reply

Sounds as Asian as John Woo.
