Awkwardly hard to watch scene

The baby naming party scene was truly one of the hardest and most painful scenes to watch. Just something about someone so deluded and crazy facing harsh reality that hurts to see someone go through. I don't feel bad for the character, because she created all her own problems, but I certainly do not enjoy seeing anyone go through an experience like that. I am pretty sure the writer wanted exactly that to happen in the scene, and that's understandable. Charlize sure did a great job of making me very uncomfortable.

I felt bad for her because I'm a alone mess. And way older than her character. Yeah all the people at that party they represent 290 scumbags on my facebook page.

I felt really sad for Mavis when she talked about her miscarriage to Buddy, because I finally realised what Mavis saw through her eyes - another woman living the life SHE was supposed to have with Buddy, and there was no justice or explainable reason why her plans with Buddy fell apart, and some other woman took her place. A very very painful realisation for her and something that I'm sure many women can relate to.

Yes, it was definitely awkward and uncomfortable to watch. She was a self-destructive mental case.
