Enjoyed it up until they show the troll

I thought the pacing and the story were quite interesting and I was rather enjoying the movie...until they showed the troll. It looked like it was cut and pasted out of a cartoon. And the thought of something taller than the trees roaming the back country of Norway undiscovered was ludicrous. I just couldn't continue watching after that, it completely destroyed beyond repair my suspension of disbelief. Now, had it been more like the trolls in Skyrim which are more animal like, it would have been a really great movie.

I actually thought the trolls were pretty amazing, by far the best thing about this movie. They looked, moved, and sounded just as I'd imagine, like Arthur Rackham drawings sprung to life. Quite often in these types of movies the monster, when it finally appears, in a bit of a let-down, but in this respect
I think Trollhunter definitely delivered

"Eat a sandwich. Drink a glass of milk. Do some fvcking thing!"

Pity, there was only a few minutes left to run.🐭

ludicrous ... disbelief

Disney cartoon. I went from suspenseful interest to laughing out loud. Totally ruined the movie for me.
Blame whoever described this movie to you beforehand and created your expectations, they were so far off base and did you a 'serious' disservice.

It's a hilarious comedy, you were supposed to laugh out loud. Lots of times.
So at least you finally got in the right frame of mind, shame that ruined it for you though.

I'm in US, so only vaguely familiar with trolls, but the movie's trolls gelled for me with the artwork I'd seen before. I thought they were excellently done, no wonder Disney borrowed some of their characteristics.
