As the movie opens, Maverick is test-piloting an experimental aircraft. He crashes it, but because he’s Maverick, he miraculously survives. He walks into a roadside diner and asks where he is. A little boy replies, “Earth.”
That’s cute, but if I were directing this movie, when the little boy sees Maverick, he shouts excitedly, “Buzz Lightyear!” 😆

I had never seen any of the comic book movies as I didn't read them growing up. However I did see a Ryan Reynolds movie where he played an action figure...Deadpool. I thought it was a remake of a Clint Eastwood movie.
