Why does Will look 'fishy'?

Did he fail to collect the souls of the fallen? Jones ended up looking squidface for refusing to do his duties as captain of the Dutchman. Did Will do the same? Makes no sense that he looks this way if he was doing his duties correctly. Possible continuity error?

I'm guessing we might find out in the next film perhaps that maybe he got lax, perhaps spending to much time guarding Henry and Elizabeth, since Henry was able to anchor himself to the bottom of the ocean and land on Will's boat which quickly resurfaced to stop henry from drowning.

I suppose that's the only logical explanation. It's either that, or the filmakers completely screwed up the continuity (if this is the final film). I doubt Will would purposely abandon his duties as Captain, and risk ending up deformed like Jones.

Yeah, I see Will still a very good guy and not one to want to manipulate more souls to eternal damnation aboard the Dutchman. So maybe that's it.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here- https://youtu.be/Ifd_yV1ZFNg

This was really strange to me and seemed really inconsistent. There doesn't seem to be any explanation at all for it. I'm thinking continuity error as well.

I think it was just because he was not always doing as he was supposed to do as captain of the Flying Dutchman (like Davy Jones) because he was probably staying close to Elizabeth and Henry. I think it might be explained in the next film, like Elizabeths hair being brunette (i assume because the British/Pirates might be after her or just keeping on the down low), albeit briefly. I think people who saw the previous films can figure it out easily enough, that questioning it shouldn't be much of a huge issue but maybe's that me.
