Lloyd 2020 vs Lloyd 1994

Spoilers, if you have not seen the show stop reading.

Just got done watching the new series. The two Lloyd's seem completely different. Lloyd 1994 was sober and serious, someone who other people would take orders from, and someone who could handle business. I could see why Flagg made him second in command. Lloyd 2020 seemed like a joke. He was drunk and partying the entire time, I could not take him serious, and do not see how anyone would put him in charge of anything. I would not trust him with making a beer run, let alone being second in command.

Yup. With you there. I found the whole series disappointing tbh. All this time in development hell and this is what we get...

Completely agree

Remember how Old Lloyd shot Glen? And the exchange with Flagg?

Compare that the court room scene with new Lloyd and "rat woman" being the one barking orders

LOL old Lloyd would have shot ratwoman for talking to him like that

Speaking of which ratwoman SUCKED!

Ratman has some great one liners "Shut up with your honkey voodoo!" *cocks shotgun* and "wonderbread and farmer john" and of course the foreshadowing with Larry "The rat man forgives you...this time"

I could buy RatMan as being a bad dude, ratwoman just made me laugh

Rat-woman was a joke. This change was a disaster and was a case, I'm sure, of Hollywood's virtue signaling.

How was Poke portrayed? Did that character have a large part or larger than the 1994 movie? He was quite the psycho from what I remember. Also I’m curious how did they handle the character of Harold in this version? In the novel he was homely & obese & they made him into a millennial nerd in the 1994 version but since I’m here i mind as well ask what they did with his character in this new series.
