Please! Not the blonde Doctor!!! Vic and Walt!

Walt with anyone other than Vic works for me.

so bollocks is bad, but dogs bollocks is good?

I think Vic and Walt used to have great chemistry. They shared something real and valuable and cared deeply for each other. Vic understood Walt in a way Martha couldn't have (of course the opposite is also true) and brought something completely different out in him. Why wouldn't Walt pick someone that's nothing like Martha? Martha is gone and will never come back. A cheap copy of Martha could never be satisfactory.

But this season esp since episode 3 everyone has acted like completely different people. I have never been more frustrated with a tv show. Can someone shed some light on what happened, apart from the move to Netflix? Did they run out of books to base the series on? Different producers? Or what? Now it's the same crap as every other show, people trying to "find themselves", and the plot of the week is so predictable I feel like screaming.

The doc with Walt makes no sense to me, and Walt around her makes me feel like I never knew the man. I'd like them to try out Walt and Vic, just to see how it would play out, but it's also cool if they don't. What I don't like is that they seem to try to erase any feelings between Walt and Vic, and that's betraying the show. The warmth of their mutual loyalty and affection, romantic or otherwise, is a big part of the heart of the series - to me at least.

I know, I mentioned the same thing about how things changed after Episode 3 awhile ago.
I am not sure if they had a different writer, maybe a woman, who had more input on the Vic and Walt storyline of the first three seasons.
I hope Season 5 finds thing more normalized. Or at least seems like the first three season existed.

Vic and Walt is horrible. So hope they don't follow the books.
On the other hand I wish Murdoch Mysteries would. I had to stop watching that Canadian crime drama because I got sick of the TV writers forcing a coupling where it doesn't belong (Murdoch and Ogden). His real romantic interest appears briefly and then is written right out again.

Hate the doc!

Down with Doc up with Vic!

Not Vic.

My problem is that Walt had no problems sealing the deal with the rich woman, but he seems to be almost impotent with the doctor. They even have him go as far as letting her down gently in the penultimate episode. Why was her character even written in? The showrunner a friend of Ally Walker?

For a guy who likes to fight, Sheriff Longmire really seems to have low level testosterone.

Well, he hasn't seemed like 'himself" for most of this season. I'm hoping that another poster OneAngelU11 is right, that we'll find out it all related to traumatic brain injury.

I think that was the point of this season...Walt is figuring out that his ways aren't necessarily the best for him or for others. He has to change trajectory in order to get a different result. This season was amazing and hopefully closed some undesirable plot lines and opened some interesting ones.

It don't work when you don't want what's offered. Pretty simple biology.

No.
I know this thread was created a long time ago, so I'm responding to the sentiment and not the original poster.
While this is all make-believe world and I don't object to autumn-spring relationships, I don't see Moretti's impulsiveness and emotional nature meshing well with Longmire in the long, or even short, run.
She's fond of him but I don't think either is what the other need for life partners, and I'm a bit surprised anyone would think otherwise.
I'm on S5E4 and I like the psychiatrist just fine. Since it's a TV show I'm not terrible invested in their relationship but I don't like the Vic-and-Walt idea at all.
Great show, however. Having a lot of enjoyment binging it.
