The accident

I don't believe that girl - Cheri? - was responsible.
Any place where there is a "Stop" sign would make a driver with even a minimal experience slow down and check the traffic around them. Not to mention that the speed you need to be driving at to kill one person and to cripple another...

Clay's friend might have been sober but he was most definitely speeding and the old guy clearly was distracted. Their fault - not hers.

Yeah, it was the end of the road and they would have had to almost stop to turn left or right. If it were a full intersection, I could see where a missing stop sign would be more dangerous.

Even if they had called the cops the cops aren't going to put up a new sign. Most likely be a week later until the city got around to replacing it.

Everyone knows in a residential neighborhood that the speed limit is only 25 and if there are no signs at a cross street you have to slow down and check for traffic.

Even if the old guy knew there was a stop sign there for the other traffic he still would know to slow down.

The girl wouldn't be blamed for the accident.

You guys are frightening me here... I can see your point about how they should've picked a regular intersection rather than a T intersection to clarify the danger, but the point was that it was madness for her not to report a fallen Stop sign.

Please if you take away anything from this show, if you ever knock over a stop sign... At minimum call 911 and report it immediately and more ideally one should probably put on their hazards and manage the oncoming traffic until the police arrive.

The fact that some of you are trying to minimize the danger is crazy to me.

Right?! Thank you!
