Good, if not uneven zomcom, but just awful people

Considering the subtext and the social commentary, and myself knowing very little about Cuban culture, their absolute apathy towards the murder of innocents, like the entire cast, was a little unsettling. If it's a cultural difference, then I guess it's just one more reason I'm glad I'm not in Cuba.

I agree, the protagonists here are quite disgusting individuals. Accidentally killed an old lady then just shrugged it off (borderline since it was an accident), cold bloodedly killed a guy (who was begging for mercy) just for owing lazaro money, instead of helping a disabled person who was begging them for help, they stole his wheelchair and have him eaten by zombies, accidentally (again) shoots they guy who just helped them from being eaten by a horde of zombies. They got mad at lazaro for killing the guy with a plan, not for killing the guy who just saved them.

Having said those, I wouldn't draw any conclusion about a country's culture based on a movie specially a fictional one. More of a mindset of the writer(s) if they weren't intentionally making those characters that way.
