Anti-American liberal propaganda, do not watch!

This movie was like a liberal's wet dream. From the moment the zombies first appear, the characters, the government and the TV anchor all blame the United States, stupidly believing the zombies were "dissidents" paid by America to cause chaos.

The United States is blamed several more times as the main characters steal and rob their way through the movie. In fact, these people are so revolting that they see an opportunity to profit off of the zombie apocalypse by starting a zombie removal service. Despite realizing freedom and capitalism are American values, the Mexicans in this movie continue to bash America throughout the film, even as they make "pesos" hand over fist.

Speaking of Mexicans, nowhere was there a warning that this movie was in Mexican, with English subtitles. That's ridiculous. If it's going to be shown in America, to American audiences, then the cast should be Americans or at least the producers should force them to make an overdub version.

In fact, toward the end of the movie the main characters encounter an English-speaking character, but they rudely refuse to speak to him in English. Even the hot girl, one of the lone bright spots in this movie, refuses to speak English. It's insulting.

Sadly, what could have been a good zombie movie was ruined by the director and writers, who just couldn't seem to leave their politics out of it. That's not surprising, considering that 87% of all movies produced by the movie industry have a liberal and/or anti-American slant, according to the Sean Hannity Center for Freedom and Truth.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOVIE!! That is, unless you love blatantly biased liberal movies made by people who hate America.

@xystophoros

Um,they speak Spanish in the film because its their MAIN language, duuuh! If you were too lazy to look on the back of the DVD and read that (as well as switch to an English-dubbed track if it had that option) that's your problem. If all you crazy right-wingers can do is rant & rave about how everything that dosen't fit your little narrow-minded worldview, then it's no big mystery why you lost the election---not everybody wanted to vote for your crazy a****! Now go troll the hell off somewhere else!

This movie was shown on American HBO to American audiences, and as an American I have the right not to be assaulted with the grating sound of some speaking in French or Chinese or Mexican on AMERICAN TV.

Why should AMERICANS have to read subtitles? Why isn't the movie in OUR LANGUAGE? Do we go to Mexico and force them to watch AMERICAN MOVIES with Mexican subtitles?

reply

@xy

Oh, I don't know---let me see---because it wasn't MADE by Americans, and I'm sure it had those things you hate to read called SUBTITLES, which are actually in English? Aaaahhhhh, never mind---the ignorance is splitting my brain in two!

The cool thing is that no body forced this on you. You had every right to change the channel. And yes, most of the world has to watch films from the US with subtitles. Dubbing is not that big over seas, and the people don't mind because reading only seems to be hard for those living in the United States of Ignorance.

And you're just pyssed off because you set your vcr to record it, not knowing it was in Spanish with English subs. I get it, you can't watch a movie and read the subtitles at the same time. But just admit it, the real impetus for this ranting is that since you were recording JotD you missed that really important rerun of "Honey Boo Boo", so you had to fap to Hannity. Again.

THANK YOU FELLOW AMERICAN BUT WHAT IS A TROLL? I AM MERELY POINTING OUT THE ANTI-AMERICAN SLANT AND BIAS OF THIS ANTI-AMERICAN MOVIE.

THIS MOVIE SHOULD BE A WARNING TO CLOSE THE BORDERS, LEST THESE MEXICANS DECIDE TO FLEE THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE AND COME TO AMERICA TO INFECT US WITH THEIR MEXICAN PLAGUE.

IF WE HAD A BIG WALL KEEPING THE MEXICANS OUT OF AMERICA, WE WOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO KEEP MEXICAN ZOMBIES OUT OF AMERICA.

reply

LOL, and if ever internet service provider had a mandatory IQ test, we could keep idiots off the internet.

Wow, you have to be the most sheltered unenlightened malcontent on the internet today. Really, dude? All known information is within your reach, merely one google away, and you choose to remain ignorant. . .

But it was obviously not the cause. . . just government propaganda.

Oh, boy. . (insert facepalm here). . .sheeeeeeeeesh. . .

Again, the America thing was a joke at the Cuban government's expense. It never really made fun of the US. Also. . .

the Mexicans in this movie continue to bash America throughout the film, even as they make "pesos" hand over fist.

There were no Mexicans or Pesos in this movie. . . not everyone who speaks Spanish is Mexican.

Speaking of Mexicans, nowhere was there a warning that this movie was in Mexican, with English subtitles. That's ridiculous. If it's going to be shown in America, to American audiences, then the cast should be Americans or at least the producers should force them to make an overdub version.

Mexican is not a language, and the people in the film are Cubano. Also. . .You expect every foreign film to be produced in your native language? Wow, triple down, you are ignorant, a racist, and a bigot. Do the rest of the world a favor and stop watching foreign films.

In fact, toward the end of the movie the main characters encounter an English-speaking character, but they rudely refuse to speak to him in English. Even the hot girl, one of the lone bright spots in this movie, refuses to speak English. It's insulting.

Funny thing is, it is not a fact. Juan is the only one in the group that has any remote understanding of the English language, and he attempts to communicate with the man to the best of his ability.

Sadly, what could have been a good zombie movie was ruined by the director and writers, who just couldn't seem to leave their politics out of it. The. . .The movie industry? Like there is only one global production house that should cater everything to retarded red necks or they are wrong? You, sir, just went full retard. Congratulations. Could you do me a favor, honey, and burn a gigantic x in your forehead? So that if I spot you in public I know not to talk to you.

This movie has nothing to do with Mexicans, though Mexico is an American country. . . so is the United States, moron.

Please elaborate. . . I'd really like to drag you through the mud.

Go cry about it. You know what the funny thing is? I don't remember reading subtitles. I certainly watched it in Spanish, and have no understanding of the language, I did watch it subtitled, but that is not what sticks out in my mind. I just remember watching another movie.

ps. Go f#ck yourself with a kerosine lantern.

OH EXCUSE ME MR. FANCY LIBERAL WHO READS BOOKS AND SUBTITLES. NO WONDER YOU HATE AMERICA, YOUR CALLING ME A MORAN FOR choosing to enjoy AMERICAN entertainment instead of these insulting Mexican movies. This is AMERICA, and as an AMERICAN i have the RIGHT not to turn on AMERICAN HBO and be assaulted with the sound of people refusing to speak English.

As an AMERICAN I also have the FREEDOM and RIGHT to expressionate my OPINIONS on a HOLLYWOOD LIBERAL MOVIE that blames our Great Nation for the zombie apokalyps.

You should listen to SEAN HANNITY so you can be EDUCATED on American FREEDOMS instead of hating AMERICA like you do. SEAN HANNITY and BILL O'REILLY can EDUCATE you on the LIBERAL BIAS of Hollywood LIBERALS, who just so happen to be PRESIDENT OBAMA'S FRIENDS.

Or are you just jelly of AMERICA and our FREEDOMS???

I suppose you also have the freedom and right to make up words like "expressionate". Also, this is not a Hollywood movie.

So, literacy is destroying the United States? Not uneducated racists like yourself?

Dude, our country is called The United States of America. There are two continents called North America, and South America. The US is one of many American countries. I love the United States. . .possibly even more than you do, hell at least I know what my country's name is.

I don't think Hannity and O'reilly can convince me that art is bad, sorry, but no. Just no.

The fact that the State-run media was blaming it on the U.S. was part of the joke. Jeesh... do you regularly need punch lines explained to you? Contrary to what OP says, the movie is in fact an indictment of the socialist system, not an attack on the U.S... It takes dozens of pokes at Castro, Cuban socialism, and the dystopia some feel it has created. This is a funny movie and well worth watching. Oh and its a comedy not a documentary. And to the OP: your humorless outlook and diatribe is an embarassment to conservatives everywhere. You should confine your computer usage to Amazon purchases.

The OP either slapped down a big dollop of sarcasm or he/she is the biggest idiot in the USA. I am going to hope for the former but know full well in this country where Trump-loving morons run amok, it could be the latter.

The "speaking Mexican" was the funniest line of the post!
