Looks like they're going for a typical slasher movie vibe

Perhaps setting it apart from the rest of the franchise by going for a slasher film vibe, so far the film looks visually stunning.

interestingly Texas Chainsaw Massacre was Ridley Scott's model for Alien.

Covenant got somewhat gory.

I thought it looked great. I'm allowing myself to be a little bit optimistic. The trailer made it looked like the series was getting back to its roots in a lot of ways. Claustrophobic setting and all. That short clip of someone being chased by a horde of facehuggers had me freaked out a little bit. The interiors were reminiscent of the first movie. Is it set in that time period?

Next up: Aliens vs. Freddy Krueger. Don't go to sleep, you unsuspecting aliens. Freddy, be careful that your claws don't melt!
