Why such a divide between critics and audience? Is it good or not?

Trust no one : Ghostbusters was the opposite and it sucked too.
Come to think of it, everything sucked in 2016.
There is very often a divide between audiences and critics when the film concerned is a relatively enjoyable vehicle that allows you to switch off for a couple of hours and watch some people fight with swords.
For a general audience member who wants to watch that, it's fine. For a professional who is forced to sit through it when they could be watching something more to their tastes, it's frustrating.
