22% really disappointed
I wanted this movie to be the one. After this the studio won't try to get talent for another 10 years. There goes my hope for a witcher movie (yes I realize it is a book series first)

shareCritics don't matter, audiences are everything that matters.
This is a signature. Just wanted to point that out.
Critics matter more now than ever before.
Ask Green Lantern fans.
Sadly because people are so connected to media these days, the second they look up a movie on their phone for the times, underneath is the rotten tomatoes score and BOOM....they don't want to see the movie now.
I guarantee you when people search for a local theater in the area this weekend and see the AC poster, and underneath it a 22% rotten rating....they are not going to see it.
The DCEU and Bayformers survived and expended just fine... GL also flopped as no one cared. Not even hardcore comic fans as me. See you for the 2020 reboot.
shareNo theater site lists RT or MetaCritic score for the movie. It would just be an antiadvertising of the product they're showing if the rating is not so good.
Nolan, I love you forever!share
If only there was a quick way to check the ratings. You know, like a search engine you could type into and find RT and MC in 0.000001 seconds.
Oh well, maybe sometime in the future.
To take away the last inch of free will from people and displace it with critics opinions? No, thank you.
Nolan, I love you forever!share
People should be free to be forewarned about crappy movies, kid.
shareIf the majority of critics didn't like it, this absolutely doesn't mean that the audience won't. Look at Batman v Superman.
Nolan, I love you forever!share
BvS didn't even make it to a billion, kiddo. A movie with both Batman and Superman, meeting for the first time, made less than the previous film just about Batman. That's an astounding failure.
shareMany people like it. This is a fact, you parody on men.
Nolan, I love you forever!share
Quite the broad sweeping, completely unvetted statement there, kiddo. Hey, is this the new argument, seeing how you were wiped out trying to defend Asses Crap. Hey, wait until the box office on Monday, heh.
shareTheater sites themselves tend not to, but 3rd party ticket sellers do.
This is the one I use here https://www.atomtickets.com, (app is just perfect for getting tickets quickly on mobile), they include the metacritic score.
The movie times website for my area uses them too. And the IMDb score, which I find hilarious because I know the idiocy that goes on here.
shareCritics are a part of the audience, kid.

They make a living out of criticizing movies, regular audiences do not.
This is a signature. Just wanted to point that out.
They make a living out of criticizing moviesWrong, they make a living reviewing movies. Hence the fact there are many that they praise. If all they did was criticize movies, you wouldn't have people like ninja_coola expecting a fresh RT score, now would you?
Correct.
This is a signature. Just wanted to point that out.
Yes I am correct.

This was the most well-spoken and straightforward debate I've seen on this site
shareIt's going against rogue one. It's going to bomb. I'm sad about this. Also the only AC game I liked was black flag because really that was a pirate game more then anything else.
shareSeemingly it does matter, ask Warcraft how well it did in the US
shareYay!
shareMore over inflated high review scores on imdb....
shareDang. I was hoping this would break the curse, but I was wrong. Just another bad video game movie.
shareCheck out my review. Hope it gives you some hope.

I really do hope fans get a kick out of this movie.
