It’s not as bad or as good as people are saying…

Everything has to be an extreme in today’s world. You’re only allowed to love something or hate it. It’s beyond ridiculous at this point.

I thought this was a decent movie. Nothing amazing, but a fun enough night at the movies. I liked it better than Afterlife because it actually had a new story instead of just rehashing Gozer, and there was a lot more of the original cast in this one, which is what I want to see. Dan Aykroyd was great, and he and Ernie Hudson were in a nice chunk of the movie. Bill Murray made his few cameos and was nice to see. Paul Rudd was funny. I thought Kumail Ali Nanjiani stole the movie though. He was hysterical!

The only thing I really didn’t like was the weird awkward teenage lesbian ghost plot…which was very strange, and for being supposedly so smart, Phoebe really had a brain fart of epic proportions in this movie that didn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Nothing will ever top the first two films, but I enjoyed seeing a new story with the old and new characters interacting together. If you like Ghostbusters, you should enjoy this at least enough to warrant going to see it.

I guess when and if you see it you’ll have to come up with your own conclusion…the implication was definitely there, haha, but I guess it could have just been me reading too much into it the way they constantly stared into each other’s eyes. 😂

He’s got maybe 10 minutes of screen time. A little more than a cameo.

I haven't seen it yet. (tomorrow night) But your basic point is right. Love it or hate it; nothing in between. One of the stations I listen to has a critic who isn't afraid to rate something in the middle. His rating for this movie, for instance, was three proton packs out of five. (Yeah, he likes to be cute.) I can't agree or disagree yet, of course. But at least he gives a balanced review based on his own criteria.

It's the definition of a mediocre movie. I just like going to the movies and it fulfilled that itch, so I had a good enough time. If you're looking for something to do on a lazy Sunday, it's not bad.

Nothing new is presented here and the story is really recycled and drab. The acting is okay, nobody really standing out or trying too hard or too little (except Bill Murray who clearly didn't care a bit). There were a few good laughs. They leaned really heavily into nostalgia for the first couple movies - they even had a cameo of the curator and the ghost at the museum from the very first movie.

The lesbian ghost plot was completely left field, but there are so many characters to keep track of that you kind of blink and they have already moved onto another subplot or random scene.

It's one of those movies that you rather forget about the second you get home.
