Norman should have lived, survived the gun shot. Been deemed mentally insane and sent to an institution where a character by the name of Dr. Bill Raymond would be introduced as his new psychiatrist. That way we could at least have (somewhere down the road) maybe like a mini series event. :(

shareSorry for the late reply last, I just finished the series. I completely agree, it would have done more Justice for Norma and I also feel for Alex as well. He should have been the one who met Norma in the woods.

shareWell, in order for the series to interconnect with the films (where a middle aged Norman runs the hotel with the skeletal remains of his mother) -he needs to survive in the series.
shareThe series doesn't interconnect with the films. They re-wrote the history at least in season 5 and the events took place in the present day (cellphones, laptops, etc). The films took place in the 60's and 80's.
shareI think it's clear that the series is its own thing and not linked to the films (not counting any homages or references made).
