Superman - Henry Cavill, whatever man, he already is
Mutant Leader - Nathan Jones
Carrie Kelly - Sarah Hyland, dye her hair
Harvey Dent - who cares

TDKR is The Dark Knight Rises

Dark Knight Returns is DKR.

Seeing how Batman:THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS was printed in 1987, and references to it has been TDKR, I would say TDKR refers to The Dark Knight Returns to me.

Since the movie has the same initials and probably those that have not read TDKReturns it's understandable to associate TDKR with TDKRises.

In the end, it refers to both.

I can't believe this is an issue, considering the board we are on.

You normally only include the T for "The" in an abbreviation if you don't have a whole 3 letter without it (Because 2 letter is rather significant).

TDKR I only use for Rises in order to distinguish it form DKR, Dark Knight Returns had only been abbreviated DKR before The Dark Knight came out and it was abbreviated TDK.

you do realize they make toys out of anything? I remember seeing a boxes with predator and jason voorhees figurines, I'm sure they aren't meant to be played with, but it was in the freakin toys section. Anyway, unless the movie ins't part of a franchise nor has anything to do with disney, it will have a toy line (or at least figurines)

Mickey Rourke for batman in the dark knight returns, hands down. He already did Marv, and Miller's batman looks like Marv in a batsuit.

as long as they apply a lot of make up to make him look like a human. What's funny is that he looked more like a human playing marv than he normally does.

Kurt Russell

Now you don't talk so loud. Now you don't seem so proud.

Michael Sheen for Joker (see tron 2)
Jeff Bridges for Batman
An aged kurt russel for Commissioner Gordon
Hit Girl for Robin
Clint Eastwood for green arrow

reply

Michael Keaton for Batman!

The way they depicted Bruce Wayne/Batman in this movie, Dolph Lundgren has the perfect age/body to pull him off physically but his acting skills are another thing.

I honestly do believe Bruce Willis would make a very good "Old Bruce Wayne" except he has no hair and Bruce Wayne still has a lot of hair.

With that said, I think another good choice would be Jim Caviezel. He's a little younger than required but a little make up and bulking up would do the job.
