The pure horror experience we've been waiting for. It's easily the scariest film of the decade.

It's the most terrifying horror movie of 2024, a film that gets under your skin and may never get out. 10/10

It’s as if Oz Perkins' cinematic freak-fest was forged in Hell by Satan, who brought it as an artifact into our world as a gift. A-

[A] masterpiece; an unholy, horrifying confluence of high art and anxiety, a film in which every frame is a nightmare, and it’s beautiful.

Longlegs gets under your skin and stays there, immersing you so thoroughly in the repulsive, discomforting nature of evil through terrifying imagery and a tactile atmosphere that it’s unshakable. 9/10

Hopefully those are accurate.

I saw the trailer before Civil War and it looks cool. I won't buy into the hype but I'll likely go see it.

Not a fan of Cage but Perkins has done some interesting stuff. Sure I'll catch it at some point.

Two more.

Osgood Perkins puts a Satanic spin on The Silence of the Lambs in Longlegs, an unnerving, stylishly crafted serial-killer thriller with a bizarre supernatural twist. 7/10

Longlegs is one of the scariest and best films of the year, hands down. 5/5

I knew this was going to be good, but the amount of 9 and 10 scores is awesome. Can't wait for this. The trailers look mad creepy.

Is it elevated horror? if that's the case, the acclaim won't translate to audiences.

Apparently it has quite a few jump scares. I think a lot of it will be elevated horror, but not strictly enough to scare off general audiences.
