Greatest Bond Opening

There have been a lot of good openings from The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, License to kil, The World is Not Enough to SkyFall but this one has got to be the best. From the opening with the guy in white going against the crowd to that fight in the helicopter. Amazing.

i told you not to stop the boat. Now lets go. Apocaylpse Now

Indeed. Its on the top 5 openings.

It's one of them. I just don't care for the washed out, yellow tint look which is over used these days.

That was an extremely well done pre-credits sequence. It reminded me of the pre-credits sequence in The Living Daylights.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

What's so great about it? The long one continuous take seemed gimmicky to me. Moonraker has the best opening.

Four words: Hell to the yeah!
The opening is nothing short of spectacular, it’s exciting, stylish, and superbly crafted.

And although the rest of the film didn’t come close to topping that opening, overall I don’t dislike Spectre (or the aforementioned yellow tint which worked beautifully).

It's certainly one of them. I just wish they hadn't saturated the film with all of that yellow.

When you watch the extras, you can see that the costume designers did a great job on those Day Of The Dead outfits - making them really colourful and to individually stand out, and then in the finished film they're all washed out like that.

Great sequence though. There's a few average/mediocre Bond films that have good opening sequences. Octopussy for example.
