I'm a huge Travolta fan (even his DTV stuff) and I'm currently ten minutes into this, and (so-far) it's jaw-droppingly bad.
The acting is porno level and Travolta (especially) is acting like he's either:
1) suffering from a debilitating stroke
2) drunk/stoned
The movie itself looks like a series of out-takes. There's an almost Neil Breen quality about it.
I'll stick with it (but only because of my penchant for Bad-Movies)
Especially eye rolling was the opening heist where Travolta’s character steals $100M in exotic cars with his team who spawn out of nowhere behind every guard to knock them out with Mr. Spock karate chops to the trapezius. Then, the writers conveniently explain it by cutting to the sassy female computer hacker (code named, “Link!”) tap tap tapping away at the keyboard with the ability to disable every security system, cut the electricity, open physical doors to facilitate an escape, and monitor unusual aviation assets. Throughout the movie Link! was there to solve any problem with that $500 HP laptop. At some point, audiences will have to ask why the omnipotent computer hacker is never the leader of these B-movie heist gangs considering her ability to solve every inconvenient plot problem.
shareYup, she had green hair and a shit-eating grin throughout the movie (likely due to the fact there was zero sense of danger throughout)
Travolta deserves so much better.
Plan B for the opening heist was them driving into a lake with dozens of cops behind them and a helicopter yet they all just managed to swim safely away to escape!!
Not really much of a Plan B as it could only be executed when they was at that exact spot to drive into a calm lake where it took ages for the truck to start sinking,
