lets break the illusion. star wars was crap from the begining

there is no depth to star wars. you will think that after 40 years youl get a detailed explanation on why the rebels are the good guys and why the empire are the bad ones. they just fight in space over and over in every movie. there is no depth. no movie has actually shown the sith order. no movie has actually gone in depth about what this war all about. also. the acting in all star wars movies included the new ones are horrendus. this is a cartoonish and sily franchise that no one should ever take seariously. but unfortanetly you bunch of american nerds think its the best thing ever. how delusional can you be? this franchise is garbage. how can such outdated and sily clothes and uniforms and suits can be still used for today's times. have you looked at the stormtroopers lately? you cant look at them without laughing. have you look at the clothes of both the rebels and the empire officers? its a frikin joke. how can you stay blind to this cheese fest.

truth is this franchise was garbage from the start to the end and it only succseed because it was in the 70's where it had no compatition whatsoever. star trek yeah i can understand. but this? this is garbage. allwayes was.

and yet you pretend like it been destroyed when it was not even good from the first place

how naive can you be?

Absolutely false.

Exhibit A: This three minute clip from Empire Strikes Back (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjWxTbVI0cw)

Watch it closely and discover everything that The Last Jedi is not. See how the minor / background characters appear real and interesting - they are not just a useless menagerie assembled to fill race and gender quotas. Note the interesting shot blocking and scene framing. This is called "good direction" and helps enhance the story. See how real and relatable the characters such as Han and Chewie are. See the actual intelligent subtle joke of C3PO quipping that he speaks 6 million languages. Note how everything you see, from the clothing to the spaceships looks and feels REAL. See how the Empire characters seem like a real and competent threat, and not just a bunch of keystone cops. See how Vadar projects actual menace, will, and competence - he's actually scary. See how the crew members all look up at him as he walks by. Note the implied infighting and jockeying for rank that goes on within the Empire.

All in just 3 minutes. None of that was accomplished in THREE FREAKING HOURS of the Last Jedi.

So you hype a three minute scene from the best movie in the franchise as "good direction". There was certainly no "useless menagerie" because they were all old white men. C3PO's quip is so subtle and intelligent that, the joke part went over my poor weak sense of humor. Nothing feels real about Darth Vader's helmet or Solos fur-lined hood. Kittens are scary when the Vader theme is blasting 50 decibels louder than needed for the scene.

I agree about depth. It's a movie about space pirates and generic good against evil. I disagree about some of the acting though. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher were always fantastic, as was Alec Guiness. And its cheesiness was part of its charm from the beginning.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see and if you have any thoughts or criticisms, i'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance. https://youtu.be/nerCnafPUm8

You're a troll. The original series was excellent. Since then not so much.
