The Mandolrian proves it....fans are full of shit...

...😂😂😂....all they really wanted was the OT back in a sense. We are getting loads of fan service with classic storm troopers, Jawas, tattoine, Yoda species, classic ships and hardware, bobba fett type characters, etc. Etc. Etc....the show isn't even as good as some are making it out to be.(it's ok but nothing special) There is even a strong female presence in it, a female who bested the Mandolrian and NO ONE COMPLAINED...

Just goes to show that most fans just want the look and no substance beyond that....

If the last trilogy had been all about Luke, Leia, Han etc....and a weak story everyone wouldn't be complaining nearly as much....😂😂😂

It would make sense that people who liked the OT would like something that resembles the OT. Why would anyone have a problem with a female character besting the Mandalorian? People don't like contemporary politics being forced into films which hurts the story and is patronizing to the audience. No one have a problem with good female characters. And people like Gina Carano.

Speaking as someone who doesn't much love the OT, hated all the prequels(including/especially Rogue One), hated The Force Awakens, and didn't even bother with the last 3 films, I can say that the Mandalorian is a vast improvement, and most of the fan service goes over my head. I agree with the biggest criticism, which is that it is basically a live action Saturday morning cartoon. However there is one thing that it gets very, very right: The characters. All of the characters are interesting and unique. The series is well cast. Characters are first and foremost the number one thing that a series or movie has to get right. Even if you have a good story, it fails if you don't care about the characters taking part in it. This is why Rogue One was one of the most painfully boring experiences of my entire life. I would actually rather watch Captain Marvel. That's how crap the characters were. The new trilogy not only failed to introduce any interesting new characters, it actually ruined the already existing ones. The success of the MCU has been founded on creating characters that people love. That is the model that other studios need to understand and emulate.

edit: I just remembered that I didn't bother with episode 2 and 3 either. I thought I must have seen that at some point, but I don't think I ever did.
