Anyone like the synthpop/industrial revival soundtracks?

I really enjoyed this movie and love the synthpop soundtrack reminiscent of the films Drive and It Follows, all of which are 3 of my favorite soundtracks of all time. I find the atmospheres of these films all very similar and with a sleek, stylish nature similar to 80s films, all done on lower budgets. Does anyone else really enjoy these soundtracks? And for anyone that finds them detracting it'd be interesting to hear reasons why

I wrote it here on another post replying to other people lol.

What other synth bands do u like?

reply

All those musicians you mentioned are considered darksynth/horrorsynth. Perturbator being my favorite. Not quite a fan of the rest.

I'd highly recommend Makeup and Vanity Set if you love this kind of music. He has a unique style that most synth musicians can't quite achieve in terms of nostalgia and atmosphere.

Or just visit the outrun sub on Reddit, you'll find much more there.

started to listen synthwave just recently, a year or so and at the time of the first watch i didn't pay any attention to the music, but now i hear some familiar "killer" tracks, especially during the last scene

Agreed! Perturbator is in the soundtrack, and that dude is great! But the rest of the music is excellent too! Great soundtrack!
