I watched one of Kim's rental movies.

To Kill a Mockingbird. I remember reading the book in high school. Maybe watching the movie on TMC afterward, but wow. A powerful movie that showed a period of life stuck in a time vacuum through the eyes of children. What hasn't changed are the ideals and values of what being a lawyer is all about such as the American courts are “the great levelers,” dedicated to the proposition that “all men are created equal.”. I'm lying about the lawyer part.

To Kill a Mockingbird is an incredible movie, yes. Quite enjoyable despite how tragic it was.

I remember thinking Atticus was a great Dad. I guess the book and movie works on a basic level because of the children. It may not if it was from an adult pov. It reflected a period of time that doesn't exist anymore. Some of the values and ideals still hold. The racism is still here. And we still believe in the American court system although we think it can be influenced. Maybe Kim is conservative while Jimmy is liberal.

i don't believe that racism is still here

Oh wow I thought I was the only one who had seen this obscure film!

Obscure?

If that was sarcasm, sorry. It doesn't always translate on the internet.
