It’s not a roast if you’re praising the man every 5 seconds.
Clearly Tom and his PR team had a lot of control over this event. The guests couldn’t seem to go more than a few sentences without reminding Tom and his friends about how great they were. Shit, Tom even stopped Jeff Ross from making a joke because he didn’t like it. That’s not what a roast is supposed to be. Hopefully the next roast will be rid of some of these shortcomings.
