Except that it is based on the true story of Colin Warner, and the facts are laid out in docu-drama fashion, including the parole hearing scene, which came almost verbatim from the transcripts of Colin's real parole hearing. He was told he had to express remorse for his crime before he could be considered for parole, to which he replied he couldn't show remorse for a crime he didn't commit.
Colin Warner did serve 21 years for a crime he didn't commit, and he was railroaded by detectives who were more interested in clearing a case rather than in justice.
