At first I thought it was admirable showing his change and struggle, but then having him relapse and get better - WOW. This will not age well. Like the glass of milk he was drinking in the end scene,.
shareI liked the idea of what they were saying, they just made a botched mess of it. Lots of recovering addicts have twitchy fingers and that could certainly hamper pulling a trigger smoothly. After botching his sniper mission in the beginning, possibly contributing to the death of his buddy, it would have been interesting to see have to use liquor to calm his nerves and perform. Sort of tortured soul. But it was played just for laughs.
