What a sleeper(spoilers)

Literally, my husband fell asleep. I was really disappointed in this story. It was very generic. The usual kids that lost a parent, the other is emotionally absent. A demon like entity that feeds off children's weakness, vulnerability and emotional pain. The usual scares, but mostly drags. It was annoyingly dark, with every shot of the family sitting in dark rooms, which doesn't make sense, being that scary shit is happening all the time in the dark and kids are seeing the boogeyman, Please! Like turn some damn lights on! Stop sitting in a dark kitchen and living room. Turn on some hall lights! At this point halfway through the movie, I hear my husband snoring but I'm invested in this to the end. There was never an explanation of what this "thing" was, and the significance of the weeds growing all over in the houses. I walked out realizing I just saw a lame movie. I'm going to warn all my family who are excited to see this. Better wait until it comes to one of your home channels.
