Surprised by tonight's episode

I voted for Trump, and support him completely. I nearly turned this episode off after a few minutes due to the anti-Trump rhetoric, however I stuck it out and was quite surprised. They didn't spend the whole episode praising Obama, and even briefly alluded to his shortcomings. Eventually, they concluded by acknowledging that the majority Trump supporters are not racist, sexist, bigots, homophobic, etc.I voted for Trump, and support him completely. Not all Trump voters are racist. But if you are a racist, there's a good chance you voted for Trump.

The point of this episode was to show how divided the country is. It was to show the pain BOTH sides (republicans and democrats, Trump supporters and Hilary supporters) are feeling. That's why in the episode you see Hilary supporters talking about their fear for the decline of human rights, and Trump supporters talking about their fear of the decline in good paying jobs. NEITHER side is more right over the other. The problem is we had two presidential candidates that only had productive solutions to HALF the country. Which means the other half wasn't getting what they needed. Whether Trump or Hilary won, we were going to have half a country that was/is terrified for its future. Why can't we as people care about the other side? Why do we only stick to seeing our pain, but we can't see others' pain? Why do we stick to calling people racists and SJWs instead of actually seeing them as people JUST LIKE YOU who are terrified of where this country is headed? Having a president that only speaks to half the country is not good for anyone. We need a president that can address the majority, if not everyone's, issues as a people. Us blaming and attacking each other won't change anything. The reality is people are scared. We need to see outside our own struggles and our own pain so everyone feels included and safe in this country. We need to open the dialogue to what everyone struggles with and is afraid of, and we need to listen. Having a divided country will never get any of us what we want, and if it does it will only be temporary. We need to stop this division. We need to hear each other out so this doesn't happen again.

Exactly Vellex!!! Too bad so many others didn't get the message in this episode. Based on the posts I'm reading here, they didn't get it or they didn't even watch the episode and they post here just to troll or to argue with people. Either way, it's pretty pathetic of them. The message in the episode was VERY clear and I felt the show did a tremendous job!!

A republican who didn't throw a tantrum and threaten to boycott the show at the mere mention of Trump and stuck until the end to hear what the characters had to say? Shocking.

There was a lot of good humor around it as well. Junior class president hardship and the Ben Carson line lol. I really do like this show, it dares to go there, it surprises.
