Although I enjoyed this movie tremendously, I wouldn't call it the best Marvel movie, not after one viewing. "GotG" is probably better overall and has just as much action and humor, but more of the humor works.

A few things fall flat inT:R, such as the scene with Dr. Strange, so it's not perfect. It's just really fun.

I thought the scene with Doctor Strange was a good segway into the main story, yet to each his own. Thor:Ragnarok wasn't my favorite MCU movie but it was certainly the most entertaining in the Thor movie trilogy. Chris Hemsworth was able to elevate the character, show more of Thor's personable side. The humor was appropriate, given that Thor goes from being a demi-god to being busted down by Hella and ending up in an arena, fighting the Hulk. There were also moments in the story where he and Loki re-bond as brothers. That was a nice touch.

Spot on. As enamored as I am with Blanchett’s Hela though, I’m reluctant to say she steals the show because nearly the whole cast shines throughout the movie. I can’t single anyone out (Korg tho).

When it comes to being Marvel’s best, Ragnarok isn’t quite it but I can see why anyone would give it that honor (I’d happily place it in the top 5) seeing how it IS one of their best to date. I would still dare to call it Marvel’s most entertaining, funniest (yes, its humor works better for me than “Guardians of the Galaxy” - I also find the smaller and more down to earth “Ant-Man” funnier), idiosyncratic, and along with “Doctor Strange” the most visually enthralling.

Best movie?

Nah. Not even close. But a lot of fun with some genuinely funny moments. In some areas it fell flat [jumping from Sakar to Hella and back didn't allow for a deeper characterization of the main villain; she could use those moments that were cut from the trailers and a bit more].

I'm still partial to the first Iron Man myself. Civil War and Winter soldier are also very good. But this one is a lot of fun in its own right.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here- https://youtu.be/9qSxC3AVAvA

I still prefer Civil War as both an introduction to characters as well as story flow. Iron Man is a great standalone movie though. It's hard to imagine anyone else than Downey for Stark

Because you like a comedy for 5 years old kids

The whole emo "humor is for kids" B.S. has always been old and stale.
