Am I the only one that dislikes Jane?

She could be one of my least favorite characters on the show. She's just so annoying. I don't know if I'm alone at this, but it's just the way they wrote the character. It's that one you either love or hate.

I find Jane and Michael very bland together, but when she's with her mother, or Petra, she's feistier and more interesting.

I don't dislike her, but I do find that the character verges on unlikable in several episodes.

I think the character of Petra is much more compelling, because of her murky morals.

"Destiny is most often met on the road taken to avoid it."

I binge-watched til season 2 and I'm starting to hate her character. She is turning into a self-righteous B* and most of the conflict being encountered by her character is because of her negative attitude. Frankly, if this was a real person, I'm sure people would stay away from her.

The only good thing that is coming out of it is that the supporting casts are getting more and more interesting.

I hope they bring the b*tchiness down a notch on season 3 and give the character more conflict that would show her vulnerability and strength of character. Being a b*tch doesn't always equate to being strong/fierce.

Yeah, I'm with you. Jane has many good qualities but 'self-righteous' is most definately the right term. Its fine to have principles but its wrong to hold other people to them and to hold it against them if and when they make a mistake. I wouldn't mind but she seems to pick and choose whom she holds to these standards. Rafael and Xo were continually in the fireing line but for Michael and Abuela, whom in my opinion had both done worse things, Jane always manage to find a way to excuse their mistakes. Jane, particularly in season 2, saw what she wanted to see.

Jane openly admits to being judgmental but I'm not sure she understands that is actually a character flaw. I think the writers had intended for her to come across as a strong, independant woman but she definately came across more b**chy at times than strong.
