Not super original but it does shine a light on Mental illness in young adults and Elle Fanning and Justice Smith as the leads did a very good job, I do wish they had focused even more on the secondary Characters (Virginia Gardner and Finch's Best friend for example)
shareI don't think there was enough space in the movie to focus too much on other people. The movie is very "two people centric". I think that's the style of movie the first half is about her and the second half is about him. They could've done the whole movie with just them two and they wouldn't even had to change too much. I think Virginia Gardner had an interesting character tho. Like you can't say someone is bulimic and contemplates suicide on a daily basis then change scene and be like yep carry on.
