You're crazy the dialogue was amazing. The delivery of the dialogue was however overly theatrical and cliche. But as for what they are saying, it was a great script! Regarding the second point if you wanna be real technical they never said he died instantly. There could've been weird complications especially since the human body is sooo weird people die from weird stuff all the time. As for the first point I think there was a jump in time after she went back. It wasn't explained that well but she could've told her mom everything in that period. Nah I disagree. You watch enough shows and movies you can tell what's gonna happen from early. It's about how they execute the idea and the idea that a movie about long lost love doesn't end with them two together because the guys heart ends up in her son is a great idea and It's a GREAT movie. I don't think there was enough space in the movie to focus too much on other people. The movie is very "two people centric". I think that's the style of movie the first half is about her and the second half is about him. They could've done the whole movie with just them two and they wouldn't even had to change too much. I think Virginia Gardner had an interesting character tho. Like you can't say someone is bulimic and contemplates suicide on a daily basis then change scene and be like yep carry on. I think their relationship was necessary. Honestly the people who made the movie did a good job but it wasn't perfect. I think the ambiguity you feel is from the inconsistency in the show. Like she goes from romantic camping and kissing in bed next to a camp fire in bed to kissing the other guy but then leaving them both in the end. I think the relationship is necessary for the development of her character as his character exists as bait to move her in a new direction. But once she opened up his character had served it's purpose. At that point the only reason to stay is if she genuinely loved him which turns out she didn't. I just watched the movie so it's fresh in my mind Nah I disagree. I think it's just about the journey of her character. The movie simplified in it's most basic is about her opening up. So the creators used the news as a way to not only show how disconnected and closed off from the world she is, but also when she suggests it to her family that it's something they should now start doing it shows the audience that she's at a stage in her life where she's exploring. Thats what the ending is about aswell. I think they use the name to show the different stages of her life. Like she use to be Mata but life wore her down so much she became Agnes. That's why he's the only one that calls here that, he's her escape. Sorry if I rambled I just finished the movie. View all replies >
