Similar movies to this one?

I loved "Toni Erdmann". Could you recommend me something with a similar sense of humor? I also loved "2 Days in Paris", but normally watch more dramas than comedies.

Reminded me a lot of Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives. I'm not crazy about either movie but I think they're very similar and if you liked one you'd probably like the other. And maybe Lost in Translation?

Check out Romanian new wave, like "4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days", or "the death of mr lazarescu". You may also be interested in the work of Roy Anderson (from sweden), like "a pigeon sat on a branch reflecting on existence" and "songs from the second floor". I think that Balkan, eastern bloc and skandinavic cinema are the places to look!

That's true.

Maren Ade is a big fan of the Romanian New Wave & even thanks director Corneliu Porumboiu in the credits.

The dry, dark humor and the naturalistic social settings and style are very similar to the RNW.

They have a similar humanism & sense of the absurd.

You may think this weird, but it sort of reminded me of Sideways. Or anything directed by Alexander Payne, e.g. About Schmidt or Nebraska.

Or see Borat.

God no,,,no more movies with annoying characters with fake teeth jokes.
