Enjoyed it more on second rewatch

During lockdown me and my wife got disney plus and watched all the MCU films. We have just decided to watch them again in chronological order.

I preferred this film more on the second watch. Far from my favourite but not bad.

Originally I remember the film feeling a bit odd, disjointed at the start. This didn't really sit right with me for some reason but on a second watch I found it made it a bit unique.

Having it as a mystery, with the audience and lead not really knowing what is what feels a bit different. A lot of marvel films either have someone growing and become a "superhero" or they already have powers but this kind of mixed the two with captain marvel having powers but not sure how or when she got them.

In my first watch I felt near the end it went a bit generic. I still feel partly this but I don't think it felt as generic.
