Good show? Worth watching?

Just about done with Ray Donovan here, was considering making this or Hell on Wheels my next watch. Love all the actors in this show. Good writing? At least for a few seasons? These Showtime shows can be real hit or miss. Don't want to get wrapped up in something that ends up being a waste of time.

I like it, but its edited too rapidly. There's no rhythm in conversations, like they were all robots or something. Oh yes, and then they are all experts on pop culture references, like characters speaking cool talk in older Quentin Tarantino flicks.

hmmm. i'm either gonna love or hate that.

It's quite boring, to be honest.

What made it boring was that it fell victim of making "improvements" in hope for a higher ratings. The subject matter is quite interesting, too bad the producers had no confidence.

Axe-less Billions did a lot of damage. Also, there's only so much juice to squeeze out the drama between the primary characters, so I felt more retreading of situations and themes than any improvements. A better written final season with Damian Lewis, that would also be a final season of the series, would've worked better. Leave before the ratings hand you your hat -- but too late now, as this last season's ratings were bad.
