(Spoilers) Why was it so long?
Why was this storyline told over 2 hours when you could have trimmed it down and still not hurt the overall quality
share2 hours is pretty normal for any movie. Comedies can be shorter but this was almost a sci-fi family drama with a sprinkle of comedy.
In any case I didn’t mind the length because the pacing was fine, I didn’t feel it dragging.
it took almost 100 minutes before the original ghost busters all showed up together on screen.

Good films cue your imagination. Before Spielberg shows you any sharks or dinosaurs, he has your imagination doing somersaults by teasing you with brief close-ups, or showing you people getting attacked but not the creature, or we hear people talking about the menace.
Afterlife was pretty good at stimulating the imagination and when things did finally appear, they didn’t outstay their welcome. I was impressed with Jason Reitman.
