Dear Hollywood. Stop making all those Iraq and Afghanistan war movies

No one wants to see them. They are boring. Its boring war. With faceless villains no one cares about. None of them filmed in the middle east and feel fake. Usually they are being shot in the USA desert and in front of green screen in the studio lots. This one was filmed in Spain.

It never feels like characters are actually on Iraq or Afghanistan.

How many flops you need to understand that?

Filming at the actual location would be ideal, but sometimes there's other shit going on there, like a war, and the country is hostile to us. There have been plenty of very good war movies (and other genres) filmed with the American desert, mountains, seashore, or a studio lot standing in for the real place. When a movie isn't good, the filming location is usually the least of its problems, if it's a problem at all. And if a movie is bad, being shot at the authentic location usually can't save it.

Speak for yourself, dummy. People do, in fact, enjoy these types of movies! If you don't like it then that's fine. Go watch the Little Mermaid or the 1000th Marvel movie instead.

The literally all flop, lol. Because no one wants to watch them. Literally.

This one had a budget of 55 millions and grossed only 16 millions. It flopped and they lost money. Like 40 or 60 millions depending on how much they spent on promotion.

I disagree. I really liked it.
That Jake Gyllenhall guy is a good actor and this movie was all action and drama. I really liked it๐Ÿ‘

Dar Salim, a guy I never heard of, is also a very good actor, he was impressive, he should get way more work.

Very good movie.
