I thought I would have gotten over the shoehorned diversity for season 2...

But here i am struggling to get past episode 4 while being reminded of why I hated the first season so much. Every single casting choice for this series is downright awful. Like the BBC found a group of nerdy larpers cosplaying for comic con, and decided to make a show about it. Just terrible.

I agree. The leftist racial fetishizing is so stupid. Every show has to be a rainbow representation of everyone now. In decades from now hopefully society will have shaken off this nonsense and ridicule it for what it was.

Agreed. The main problem is that they are not even good actors and are just there for the representation and diversity. If Idris Elba played Geralt or some other character, it would be totally fine, but these guys and girls just make this series totally mediocre.

Agree. I played the 3rd game last year (took over 4 months and ~320 hours) and the women seriously looked STUNNING in it. Never seen female characters (even minor ones) look so beautiful, well characterized and voiced in a VG before, in my 25+ years of playing tons of them.

Started watching this series 3 days ago and 3 episodes down, the 3 main women (Ciri, Yennifer and Triss) look so unimpressive and below-average, esp. compared to the game's renditions.

Triss is the worst of the lot. This is what she looks like in the game - https://i.pinimg.com/originals/96/8e/7d/968e7d162e62cbaf7313ec1fd385e708.jpg

Ciri - https://xgamerss.com/Handler1.ashx?id=3634

Yen (should've been played by someone like Kate Beckinsale) - https://external-preview.redd.it/OJbyKqSYgvKKtdVResCDfVPewIjfOM2FruERHgU3xxA.jpg?auto=webp&s=98fe13df91ed28d2d1701f5952bba03620e4e7db

HC does a decent job as Geralt.
