GROFF IS HORRENDOUS !!

HOW did this guy get this part?!! He does not belong on this show.

The premise is extremely interesting to me as I am intrigued by serial killers, but this show will be bogged down by this guy. Almost everyone one else is very good , very convincing. The serial killers themselves are fascinating especially the one portraying Kemper.

They need to get rid of Groff if they truly want the show to have a chance.

No way they're getting rid of Groff... He'll just be a drag on the show, but I hope it contiues as the show's premise is very good.

I'd like to know how too. He was so badly cast and the script was awful. I couldn't believe for one second this naiive, uncharismatic, high pitched dullard character was any rank in the FBI let alone an instructor... in the seventies, I mean really? This guy was the best of all the choices they had?
I was really looking forward to this show and set out to marathon it last weekend. I couldn't bear to watch any more of it after the second episode. "Oh you only made it to the second episode, you should've stuck with it"... No, it was excruciating. I think it's the first time I've ever not managed to finish a series no matter how bad I thought it was.
I'll probably just skip to the Ed Keeper scenes as they seem to be praised but won't try and watch again. I'd rather sit on the TV and watch the sofa.

Can't say I blame you. I later found out this Groff is gay in real life, so maybe that's why he was given the part, you know, because of the entire Hollywood culture club. Now, I don't care one way or another, but this explains to me how he is in NO way convincing in this part. Sure there are people that could pull off a straight part if they are gay, but this stooge isn't one of them. That is my opinion.

He really is bad.

I initially thought the same thing, I thought he was bland and awkward when I started the show but as it went on I realised that’s how the character is written, Ford is a bit of an oddball, that’s why he’s so fascinated and able to converse with serial killers in the way he does, once I got used to what the character was I actually think Groff is brilliant in the role.

I was going to say you are crazy but realized this is two years old. This series is fantastic. It is expertly written and cast. One of the best things on TV since Sopranos.
