Which is a pity. Good cast, reasonably intelligent story, good CGI - if a bit too much zipping about in zero-g. But it was totally predictable and the beastie reminds me of the bugs in Evolution. The best thing was it finished in time to catch a reasonable train home rather than the stupidly late next one.

I really liked it. It was like a B-level scifi horror with an A-level budget and cast. Perfect popcorn entertainment.

That's a fair description. If it had been a 1950's B movie I would have accepted it's failings and probably enjoyed. I guess I expect more from a current film these.

Agreed. Liked the look of the alien and some of the effects looked cool but I thought the characters were bland and that the performances very underwhelming.

Agreed. I prefer to not overthink a film when I'm watching but when they keep doing stupid things to move the story along I can't help thinking - why?
