So....after it leaves theaters...

How quickly do you think it'll be forgotten? "Eternals" fast? Or "Strange World" fast?

reply

They are for kids, who usually have shorter attention span, then again these days I think grown-ups are only marginally better.

Anyway, I think we will probably have to look at toy sales to know for sure, though I don't know where to get the numbers.

reply

The toys were in clearance before the movie even came out

reply

Well, it is more about after the movie came out, how it affected the sales.

reply

I don't think it will be forgotten quickly. Eternals and Strange World weren't very good. The Little Mermaid is well made and entertaining and I think a lot of young girls will enjoy it.

reply

This film isn't good either. It's a dumpster fire and everyone knows it. It's so bad, even desperate idiots overseas won't watch it.

And FYI, nearly every Little Mermaid-related toy or parphernalia I've seen in stores, even now, still uses the cartoon as a reference, including a white, red-haired Ariel.

reply

YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT...QUIT BLABBERING.

"even desperate idiots overseas won't watch it."

YOU HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS.

reply

Plenty of people do not agree with you. $332 million is not a dumpster fire even if the production cost was so high that it might not make a profit. So people overseas are not watching it, but it has still made $141 million overseas?

Walmart and others have the latest version of Ariel complete with brown skin and reddish brown hair. You're not really looking are you? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Disney-The-Little-Mermaid-Ariel-Small-Mermaid-Doll/1470996822?athbdg=L1600

reply

Yep, because Woke Ariel doesn't sell....who would've thought?

reply

"It's a dumpster fire and everyone knows it."

Is that like "people are saying?" Lol. It's got an audience score of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.2 rating on IMDB. Why are you criticising it anyway--are you a con and you think it's "woke" (mermaid is black)? It's a children's movie, you know, and I assume you are not a child. I hope not, being so full of hate as you are. I assume you're an "old" and hopefully your cohort will die off quickly, making the world a more tolerant place.

It's already being forgotten lol. It'll be "Battlefield Earth" fast

reply

Good, this woke abomination needs to die.

reply

It will stream on the Disney channel for a while, like much of their other programming. As long as it draws people to the channel, it will be streaming and not forgotten.
