Steve's '80s fashion scenes.

I get that they were trying for the sort of light comedic moments here that Marvel has become famous for, but I think they hit a sour note with this. The comedic bad 1980s fashion scenes, where newly revived Steve tries on a bunch of '80s outfits, are a little forced. The problem is (SPOILER ALERT!!!) that Steve is brought back in a host body: the body of a thirty-something engineer, obviously a career man successful enough to afford what looks to be a fairly decent apartment. They outfits Steve tries on, especially the "parachute pants" outfit, are absolutely NOT the sort of outfits that any thirtysomething professionals wore in the 1980s. That sort of getup is what teenagers wore in that decade -- and only some teenagers at that. I was around back then, I know; I was a teenager myself, and I remember what people were wearing. I never wore clothes like that, none of my friends did either, and only a few of my schoolmates, and I most certainly never saw anyone over college age dressed like that.

Comedy should look to come about naturally not forced and all the comedic scenes in this movie seemed really forced to try to get a laugh, which is a total cringefest.
