Sadly this show...

Has turned into a total fucking wokefest, it's absolutely saturated with fucking wokery messages throughout.

I'm done.

Why? Because it features women and black people? Or is it something else?

Oh fuck off you Troll.

reply

Well chuck you too, farley. I ask a serious question and you call me a troll?

reply

Just say that it is boring. Regardless of wokeness, it is boring as shit.

I wouldnt say its woke, but Season 4 had definitely serious weaknesses in the plot. The money situation of Kelly, the steal an asteroid situation, the smuggle north korean to mars. I really hope, they get back to better stories in Season 5, otherwise they will lose me.

There were a few situations where the script was a bit loose to help move the plot, but I don't think they affect the main story line, nor the enjoyability of the show. It is a Sci-Fi show and so far it stayed well within the suspension of disbelief boundaries it has set for itself.
I, for one, I'm very happy that it moved away from the soap-opera scenes and more into hard Sci-Fi.

And to the OP: "woke", really? I'd very much like to hear what scene is "woke" in season 4 'cause I have seen exactly and totally absolutely none of that.

Ahh, the "We are strong women" Episode, when Aleida and Kelly have to collect money for the Mars mission felt quite like everythink the "everything is woke!" crowd criticize. That episode was totally weak, as the Grand Canyon sized plot hole for Kelly got obvious. They say Helios has the GDP of Texas, Dev says he can't do his power move without her (and other few shareholders) and she still lives just a normal working mum life. Her both parents (CEO of the company and one of their most precious consultants) should have a considerable amount of shares, as the company was way smaller when they started. As the space hotel of Karen was sold to Helios too, its unlikely they ever went through a total bankruptcy. So the whole plot made no sense, as she should be at least entertained by Helios management for the shares only.
This episode was just there to show off working mums are strong.

Also when not woke, the other story plot was basically pure communism for a capitalists.

Also Aleida is too emotionally damaged to go back to work at NASA but within what seems to be a matter of weeks she's pretty much running Helios herself. It's like how Karen somehow went from a housewife to a CEO. I don't know if it's wokeness as much as trying to force all of the main characters and their families into every situation. I'm sure if they keep making more seasons then Aleida, Kelly and Danielle's kids will somehow factor into every mission. They'll have Ed's corpse flying to one of Saturn's moons.

Karen 100% mumbo jumbo wokeness, they skipped all the parts which are important for depicting her as a good business woman. Even her restaurant kind of wasn't succesful, if I remember correctly.
Aleida is different. She was the protege of Margo and if Margo had stayed at NASA, she had been seen as her successor by the time. And she already was trained in managing missions (which also include the boring finance pitch/discussion stuff etc). So it is not THAT far fetched that she can also handle a company. She was shellshocked and thus not mentally ready by herself, but that does not mean you are not ready to be able to do it.
