She hasn't really had a huge notable film in a while, but then, not many actresses over 40 get the same amount of offers anymore, sadly. Even Meryl Streep said the roles began to thin when she turned 40 and get strange (she was offered roles to play a...witch?).
That was (sadly I must say) the first thing that came to my mind too... her age. :-( She's very talented and a joy to see her play her roles. But yeah... there are younger more "flavor of the month" actresses out there that cinema companies will pick first to be sure to attract as much people to see their movies as possible. Doesn't matter if they don't even have half her talent...
