This story is so needlessly convoluted and heartless. It’s being 100% carried by Kristen. Unfortunately, Ricky Martin has the acting-chops and charisma of bread and brings nothing to the show. What a miscast. Any other actor in this role could’ve elevated this show.
It’s all just Kristen doing Kristen stuff and a bunch of words and a story no one cares about.
Yeah, I watched ep 1 which was visually fun in many ways - costumes, make up, settings, era. But I am not tempted to watch it again. The story didn’t grab me and the characters were not charismatic. It felt like a vintage Real Housewives episode.
shareI’m in it to the end sadly. But it’s getting worse and worse. Once you get to the whale episode (iykyk), the show is almost completely off the rails.
I can’t believe how well Kristen keeps this mess (barely) watchable. She is a fantastic actress.
Still haven’t got to ep 2. I imagine one slow tv night I will revisit it.
